The Miss Zearing Contest, inaugurated during the 2001 Zearing Days, is a way of encouraging the next leaders of our community. Zearing is the home of the Colo-NESCO Middle School (grades 5-8) so it seemed fitting to choose girls from this age group. New this year is the Little Miss and Mr. Zearing Contest.

Who is Eligible?

The Miss Zearing Contest is open to any Zearing middle school girl who has just completed the 5th, 6th, or 7th grade. The Little Miss and Mr. contest is open to children entering Kindergarden through 2nd Grade.

How to Enter

Participants can enter the Miss Zearing Contest by filling out a questionaire. Entry forms for the Little Miss and Mr. contest will be sent home from school. To obtain a questionaire or entry form, or for more information, please contact Michele Stalzer.

How the Contest is Judged

Judging for Miss Zearing is based on leadership ability, poise, and self-motivation. All of these qualities help build a better community and a bigger, better Zearing Days Celebration. The winners of the Little Miss and Little Mr. Zearing contest will be from a random drawing of those who enter.
